MOTORSHOW CEBU INTERNATIONAL: AN ALL-FAMILY AFFAIR AND MORE!

Wholesome large-scale events that interest and entertain every member of the family are hard to come by these days.

With this in mind, organizers of the Motorshow Cebu International are pulling out all stops to make sure there's something for everyone in this grand event that will take place at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) on October 16 to 21, 2007.

For starters, dads will be fascinated with the vast corporate displays showcasing the latest models of cars/vehicles, news products, services and related technologies in the automotive and cycle industries.

Moms, on the other hand, will definitely take interest in the country's top female racers who will grace the various races, games and special interest activities that will be held in and out of the motorshow venue.

The elder kids will meanwhile delight in the "Annual Motorshow Best in Show Competition," a yearly open class contest of the best of vintage and classic cars, restored to their original condition.

Part of the competition is a showcase of contemporary European and Japanese-made cars with modifications ranging from low, medium and heavy depending on the add-ons or accessories installed on the body and engine of the cars.

For smaller kids and the kids-at-heart, there's the "Motorshow in Scale," a competition and exhibition of meticulously and articulately assembled static miniature replicas of cars, trucks, jeeps and motorcycles. These models may be made of plastic, metal or wood.

Other special events also await motoring enthusiasts as well as children and adults alike in the motorshow's treasure hunt, adventure race, Motorshow Cebu Drag 2007, remote control races and the Outlast Autocross.

For the more serious-oriented, there's the alternative fuels conference that will tackle the importance of developing new sources of energy.

Another exciting highlight is the auto exhibition featuring car/SUV/RUV/motorcycle assemblers and manufacturers, petroleum products, oil companies, truck and bus assemblers and dealers, automotive parts and accessories, auto gadgets, car care products, maintenance and service equipment, car air-conditioning, cycling gears, local and international automotive associations and allied industries and services.

The cycle category, on the other hand, will showcase motorbikes and motorcycles, parts and accessories, gadgets and gears, bikes and cycle care products, service and shops, maintenance and service equipment as well as allied industries and services.

Topping it all off is the endless array of door prizes and raffle surprises like caps, key chains, t-shirts, jackets, car accessories, gadgets and exciting gift certificates that will be given to lucky spectators during the six-day event.
